Bride's Story
It was in the Summer 1998 when I first set eyes on Stanley. As all our friends will remember, at the time, he always had a unique gait and 'M' shaped hairstyle which left a lasting impression on me. It has eventually taken 20 years for him to change both these attributes!
After university, I was presented with a very difficult decision. Whether to return to Hong Kong or to stay in London. For the sake of love, I decided to stay purely for one reason, and that reason was STANLEY. I often feel lonely, knowing that I’m the only one here in London, and that all the love & support from my family is so far away. Luckily Stanley shows me everyday that my decision was the right one to make, and hopefully one day we will grow a family of our own.
We started off as good friends, and ever since our relationship has been blossoming into a solid and loving life together. |

Groom's Story
Fiona and I met at back at university, it always sounds like classic cliché but it really was love at first sight. I distinctly remember the occasion when she casually walked late into a lecture one fine autumn's day, immediately lighting up the room upon her arrival. Her wonderful good looks and warm smile left a lasting impression on me. And the scent of Issey Miyake wherever she went always brought about an unmistakable smile to my face.
It was a lengthy couple of months of secret admiration, before I plucked up the courage to speak to her for the first time. I would see her every now and again at a distance, and day-dream about her being my Wife one day. I recall it was during the exam period, when I bumped into her doing some last-minute revision in a quiet corridor. Our eyes met for the first time, as she nervously looked through her notes, I realised she was reading them upside down as I approached her! Our first dialogue was short, but sweet. Up close and personal, I realised even more so how intelligent and attractive she was and how wonderful her voice sounded. My heart was her's for the keeping that day onwards...
Reminiscing about how we first met, to how far our love for each other has bought us here today, has made me realise how lucky I am to be Fiona's future Husband. She has been my rock, my soul-mate, my best and closest friend. We have been through so much together through the years, my love for her has grown stronger by the day. |
